Part I of "Planets" Series
--- EDIT: Now in wide screen  ; I recolored some parts- just minor things that were bothering me--- This starting as an absent-minded doodle, and took off as a series I'm going to do. I was really happy with the line art, and coloring was a chore, but it was ok enuff-until i scanned it..ugh, the scanner ruined it...ugh. A Resident of the Planet Venus. They are a sort of organic machine; born from disposed mechanical junk from other planets and cosmic energy. They run on the atmospheric gases and sunlight. They make they're living in caves in the spires and cliffs of the planet. They are supposedly long lived and peaceful Planet Series Mars: The Collectors Original Work (c) Manzhanz Comments

Thanks so much. I just used Colored pencils- Crayola and Prismacolor.

Love the use of warm colors all over this. Really getting the ominous and ethreal vibe here! Plus a little bit of a dystopian thing going on too. But yeah, fantastic work.

Critiques
The piece here has color that is amazing, everything is vibrant and alive because of the warm color scheme and compliment of a well chosen subject to use it in! The buildings are only bested by the brightness of the sunlit sky which adds more shadow and flickering life to the lower areas of the canyon! It really is a work of infernal like beauty! Nothing is out of place that shouldn't be (save to the sanity of the mind) and if the artist had used something like a flock of birds around the lower areas, the areas would look that much more massive and dominating to the viewer.
In the end, a very very well colored and imagined piece of art! Nothing needs to be taken away, but there's always a possibility that more could be added to make this an even more epic masterpiece! GO JOE!!
